Peanut Butter Banana Pops

If your dogs are anything like mine, they love peanut butter! Throw in the tropical banana flavor for extra excitement. Be sure to use Xylitol-free peanut butter for a dog-safe recipe.
Ingredients
- Plain, nonfat Greek yogurt (1/2 cup)
- Xylitol-free peanut butter (1 tbsp)
- Ripe banana (1 whole banana)
Start by mashing a whole banana until it becomes a mushy consistency. Then, measure out a half cup of yogurt and add to the banana mixture. Blend this until it becomes a smooth, lump-free consistency. Then, add the peanut butter. I store my peanut butter in the refrigerator, so I added it to a small bowl and microwaved it until it was runny so it would be easier to mix in.
Once the ingredients are combined, put them in a mold such as the Woof Pupsicle mold I used here. Refrigerate for a few hours, then serve and let them enjoy!
Strawberry Frozen Yogurt Bites

These frozen treats include the fruity taste of fresh strawberries to make for a yummy summertime treat. Using two simple ingredients, these are easy and quick to make. Your dog is sure to enjoy them on a hot day!
Ingredients
- Strawberries (3-4 medium or large berries)
- Plain, non-fat Greek yogurt (1/2 cup)
- Optional: mint leaves
Start by dicing up the strawberries into small cubes. Then, use a fork to mash them up a little bit. Add the strawberries to a half cup of yogurt and mix. You still want some chunks of strawberries, so don’t mix too much.
Optional: add tiny cut up pieces of mint leaf for an extra minty flavor that will help your dog’s breath. My dogs don’t love mint, so I left this out.
Once the ingredients are mixed, add to a silicone mold. Freeze for several hours and then serve.
Frozen Dried Apple Slices

The easiest recipe on the list with one simple ingredient, APPLES! Your dog will enjoy a tasty, cool treat that is healthy and easy to make. You can use any kind of apple your dog likes to make these.
Ingredients
- 1 Apple (any variety)
Preheat the oven to 225F. Start by peeling your apple. Then, remove the core and any seeds, as this part of the apple is toxic to dogs. After that, slice the apple into small slices. Line the slices on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake the apples for 2-3 hours, checking them periodically. For smaller slices, you might only need 2 hours, whereas larger slices may require more time to bake. Remove from the oven and let cool, then place in a freezer bag and freeze. You can then serve these frozen for a fun treat!
No matter which treats you choose to make, your dog will enjoy having a cool, refreshing treat! Try all of the frozen dog treats recipes and see which your dog likes best.
